LIT Program

The LIT Program is an education course designed to help young people entering 7th grade in the Fall to develop their awareness and basic skills of youth leadership. LIT’s will work with our camp staff and the group to establish positive team building skills and to learn how to implement team work in a group setting. They will have the opportunity to shadow CIT’s and counselors on a daily basis, learning teamwork, communication and volunteer skills. This program has a morning session (8:45-12:15)  If your child is interested in becoming a LIT they will need to fill out a form and return to the Rec. Dept. by Monday, May 12th. It is a selective program, with a limited number of spots. You will fill out the LIT Application,  so we may gather a little more information about you. You will also be asked to come in for an interview. Once we have finalized our selection in April/May, you will be sent an email confirming your weeks.
