About Florham Park Police Department

The Police Department serves the Borough, a 7.5 square mile community along the southeastern edge of Morris County, which includes a population approaching 14,000 residents plus the populations of Fairleigh Dickinson and Saint Elizabeth Universities that lie within our jurisdictional boundaries. The Borough maintains a diverse mix of single family residential homes, multi-dwelling residential properties, assisted living facilities, educational properties, fortune 500 companies, commercial, retail, medical, recreational and professional sports facilities all of which are served by the 45 dedicated sworn and civilian members of the Florham Park Police Department.

The Florham Park Police Department has been an Accredited Police Agency since 2012, by the    New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police.  Being an Accredited Agency represents a significant professional achievement identifying the Department as an agency that meets the highest level of acceptable standards and best police practices. In 2022, the Police Department received its Accreditation status for the 4th consecutive three-year cycle, with a perfect score, making Florham Park one of only 10% of the agencies in New Jersey to receive such Accredited status four consecutive times.
The Department is committed to working with the community to make Florham Park a safe and desirable place to live, work, and visit for all people. Our mission and vision statements, along with our values, are the driving force behind our Department’s policing philosophy of high visibility patrol, proactive enforcement, community partnering, and engagement to create and maintain communal safety.
